Payment and Cancellation Policy
Hereโs how cancellations work:
Payment: Full payment is due 30 days prior to arrival.
Cancellation: Non-refundable once payment is due (within 30 days of arrival).
Comprehensive travel insurance covering flights and medical emergencies is compulsory.
Terms and conditions
Booking requests: submitting the form is a request, not a confirmed booking. Weโll confirm your dates once weโve checked availability and received your AUD $1,000 deposit.
Payment: the remaining balance is due 30 days before arrival. If itโs not paid on time, we may need to release your reservation, under our cancellation policy above.
Getting here: flights to and from Sola Airport arenโt included in your package and are booked separately. Please hold off booking domestic flights until weโve confirmed your stay.
Flight delays: domestic flights in Vanuatu can be delayed or rescheduled with little notice. Weโll help where we can, but costs from delays โ accommodation, meals, missed connections โ are your responsibility.
Travel insurance: required for every guest. Make sure it covers medical treatment, emergency evacuation, travel to remote parts of Vanuatu, flight delays, and whatever adventure activities youโve signed up for (fishing, spearfishing, kitesurfing, etc.).
Life on a remote island: weather, tides and sea conditions shape what we can do each day. We canโt guarantee specific activities, fishing catches or clear skies โ but weโll always make the most of what nature gives us.
Safety first: we may need to change, postpone or cancel an activity if weather, equipment or safety call for it. Weโll do our best to offer a good alternative.
Group size: each booking is exclusive to your group, up to 8 guests (6 for dedicated fishing or spearfishing trips). A minimum charge for 3 guests applies to every booking.
Food and dietary needs: let us know about allergies or dietary needs before you book. Being remote, our supplies and shared kitchen are limited, so we assess each request individually โ note that we canโt offer a full vegetarian meal plan.
Travelling with kids: Kwakea is a beautiful but wild place โ open water, natural terrain and limited medical access included. Children need to stay with a parent or guardian at all times.
Looking out for everyone: please follow our teamโs safety guidance during your stay. We may ask a guest to sit out an activity if itโs the safest choice for them or others.
Safety Considerations
Your safety matters to us more than anything else. We keep a close eye on weather and ocean conditions, and if things arenโt looking right, weโll adjust or pause an activity โ always with your wellbeing in mind.
Kwakea is a remote island, so medical help isnโt minutes away like it might be at home. We take that seriously: our team is trained for emergencies, but we also ask every guest to come prepared with solid travel insurance and a sense of adventure that respects the elements.
